Sino-Forest Corporation Canada ( "Sino-Forest" ) , founded in 1994, is a leading forest management and plantation operator in China, the abundant forestry resources represent scale. Sino-Forest is one of the largest foreign-owned commercial tree plantation operators in People's Republic of China ( "PRC" ) , and was one of the first few foreign and private operators engaged in forest management and wood-based products manufacturing in PRC. With its headquarters in Canada, the corporation was registered in 1994. In 1995, Sino-Forest was publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "TRE", with shareholders from Asia, North America and Europe.
